My art project is falling apart !?
It’s sort of turned out to be an epic fail… it doesn’t look like I wanted it to.. at all… and it’s due tomorrow… Great.
So I’m at least trying to get it done regardless of how it looks, but for some reason the leaves won’t stay on it. Is there any reason that leaves won’t stick when using Mod Podge? I put it underneath the leaves, and then I brushed it over the leaves, etc, and it just pops back off the paper (watercolor paper with acrylic paint on it). WTF…. I thought anything would stick with Mod Podge LOL.
What should I do??
This is it so far:
The smaller circle parts are the leaves that won’t stick.. .I have them laid out like a plan right now. I got the toadstool pieces to stick using Tacky Glue, not the Mod Podge. But the leaves won’t stick using that either.
And these aren’t juicy live leaves… they are dead and dried out.
ooh, i like it!
are the leaves dirty? if they’re dirty, they’ll be gritty and uneven, leaving the mod podge with nothing to stick to.
they need to be smooth for it to work…do you have an old toothbrush or something you could use to brush them off?
that might not even be the issue at all, that’s just my best guess.

This beauty is paradoxical-ancient but modern, simple but complex, bold but subdued-no doubt reflecting the arts spiritual basis in Zen Buddhism. At the same time sumi-e is firmly rooted in the natural world, its various techniques serving as the painter’s language … |
