HELP gave myself a tattoo yesterday on my leg with a needle (sterile) and some black acrylic paint and was ill?

Is it a bad thing that i was ill or you reckon it was unrelated, I had vomiting and diarrhoea but that’s gone now and my stomach is getting better, should i bother a doctor, i feel silly about it tbh. I had the needle in boiling water before i used it (it was a sewing needle i dipped into the paint every now and then, then i cleaned it up with a wipe (anti-infection wipe, stung a bit – which is a good sign usually) and put some tissue on it with cello-tape

Not sure whether it was related or not you may have just had the flu, but paint, and some colors more than others can be highly toxic to you. Some paints only less than a finger full can kill you. To color paints, different chemicals are needed, and those chemicals can, again, be highly toxic depending on which one…since it was acrylic, you might be a little safer.
I suggest you go to a doctor, and bring the paint that you used with you. Paint is not meant to be ingested, and definitely not meant to be injected into yourself. You are liable to have long term effects on this depending on what kind of paint it is, this is serious. You may even try contacting an artist and having them look at the paint to see how/if its toxic, they should know.

Next time, just pay the money for a real tattoo, dont jeopardize your life.
