You can only make black cats on Halloween, 31st October. Make a cat any colour, then when you get to Flippy and he asks you to say something you say “Toontastic” and your cat will turn black.

You can make your cat now, X out of TT before completing the toontorial, therefore get its name approved, and be able to gift it things from other toons on the same account before 31st October, just don’t take the cat past the toontorial or it will never become black.
