How do you draw a sunset over the ocean?
Right, so I have art class and I’m asked to draw something for each class, and i wanted to draw the sunset over the ocean, but i don’t really know how, i tried it before but in the end i really tell the difference between the sky and the water. By the way i’m not really good at drawing so try to make it simple, thank you :]

draw out all your lines like the horizontal line across your paper, half a circle on on top of the horizontal line in the middle. you can draw a couple of bird shape to represent seagulls too in the sky.
Now color you ocean the water nearest to the horizontal line should be darker(navy blues etc.) and as you move away from it, the water should get lighter (Lt. blues/turquoise blues) towards the bottom of the page.
SPECIAL NOTICE: to get the sun to show reflection on the water scratch in yellows and orange colors in the lower area below your sun going down in a sporadic triangle-like-circle towards the bottom of the page , not all the way .
Color your sun and the seagulls.
Now lets color your sky… you can use any colors within the spectrum but not greens or browns .
Lets start with this…at the top do a curved arch of dark blue to light blue then continue with these colors, then light purple with a hint of blue,mauve, darkish pink going lighter until you reach the horizon.
You can also do this with just blues just remember that the closer you get to the sun the lighter it gets > in the sky only though.
don’t be afraid to experiment with shading by pencil crayons
