where do professional artists buy their paint?
I have seen some abstract work from a professional artist and the paintings were huge. It made me wonder where they get their paint. I can’t imagine that they go to an art store like hobby artists.
I make a pilgrimage to the Golden Paint factory in New Berlin, NY once a year for my paint, they allow you to buy larger quantities at wholesale prices. The last time I was there they had a chatty and starstruck woman behind the counter who was talking about the custom orders she had filled for several major artists. The other art supply companies probably do the same.
