Where is the best place to sell a 19th century oil painting?
I will inherit an original oil painting by Eduard Grutzner.
This painting has been professionally cleaned, repaired and relined by Lisa Dupuy, who is considered the best in her field.
I am looking for advice on where and how to sell it.
Can anyone advise me?
according to artprice.com his works fetch up to 20’000usd an over at auction. my advice is to forget about ebay and go to sothebys or christies or any other internaionally active auction house as they might be able to place it in europe, where most of his works are being sold.
