Just wanted to post one of my poems to see what others thought. It was written by me last fall.?
OCTOBER DAZE It is one of those rainy cold days. I think we will just do what we want and fall into a deadened daze. Angie, I and Cisco Kat will sit catatonic, and nod off staring into the hearth’s open blaze.
That’s the way it is with us outsider, weird folk on grey days. We just scoot down low and blindly slide into the maze. The world outside our unhinged door is no longer a part of us. We accept no visitors but the rattle-crackle leaves that creepy crawl under our door. Just we three and the silence as a howling wind begins to blow. We grin as we sit in our soft, safe unhinged asylum like wild mad children of long ago.
October sends us into a sleepy hollow nod as we slumber and slide under the door. Then off with the devil winds and down through the cold stark cornfield we soar. That’s just the way it is, when ancient October frost comes and tree branches in the howling wind shadow the window shade. The clock trickles- drip,drip drip- long past the magic hour of Twilight.
