Is there a way to crop a picture while keeping it original?

I took a picture on my Fujifilm fine pix f30. In order for me to print it, snapfish automtically crops it for me and removes contents that I still want to keep. I want this picture to be in 4×6 with all its original contents. Is there any way to maintain all contents? Please help.

Generally speaking certain print sizes require cropping of the image. This is due to the aspect ratio of the film or sensor in your camera. Think of it this way. If the sensor in your camera was 1 inch by 2 inches ( it isn’t ) then you could print the following sizes without cropping. 1×2, 2×4, 4×8 and so on. If you wanted a print of a different size you would need to crop some of the image off. You could also compress the image into the desired space but it would distort the picture. If you have Photoshop or some other editing program you can play around with resizing the image or you can use a lab that will allow you to crop the image the way you want to.
Many point and shoot digital cameras have a different aspect ratio than there 35mm or DSLR counterparts. This is why your photos are cropped. The standard sizes do not match the aspect ratio of your sensor.
