does oil pastel work on canvas?

i need to know for an art project. I know that arcrylics work on canas, but do oil pastels? my oil pastel brand is craypas. thanks!

Yes go for it! Oil pastels work great on canvas especially if you are working on an abstract piece. They work well with other mediums too if you are creating a collage on the canvas. As far as using the craypas – you will have to really work them into the canvas if you want complete coverage and I wouldn’t count on them for creating fine details if you’re not familiar with working with them yet. The only way you will know how they work on your canvas is to try it out and play with them.
