How do i wash a stuffed animal dog?

Okay so i’ve had this stuffed animal dog for like 3 years, and my little cousin wants him cause all he does is sit under my bed, but he smells pretty weird. So i want to give him a bath =D haha. Anyway i don’t want to mess him up by putting him in the washer and just turning it on and then putting him in the drier. So what do i set the washer to (example, heavy duty, cold rinse, something like that), how much soap, for how long? and do i put him in the drier or hang him?

look on the tag to see if it’s o.k. to go in the washing machine. Just to be safe i would hand wash it and hand drie it. If it says do not put it in te washing machine don’t put it in. One time my mom brought a new jacket and it said don’t put it in the washing machine put she did any way and it shrunk SO much it almost looked like a coat to put on a barbie doll. But if you put a toy that’s not suppose to be in the washing machine in the washing machine it might get rips in it and then you can’t give it to your cousin.
