How do you change the orientation of text inside a custom text frame in InDesign CS4?

I created a custom text frame but can’t get the orientation right. Here’s how the orientation should look like: http://img183.imagevenue.com/img.php?image=68880_text_frame-1_122_562lo.jpg but it looks like this without the additional text frame on top of the custom text frame: http://img155.imagevenue.com/img.php?image=68881_text_frame-2_122_410lo.jpg

Use the rotation tool or click on the text frame and you will see a handle in one of the corners so you can rotate the text freely. Or input the data in the rotation tool itself.
