Can you think of some great indie/rock 2/3 songs?
I really want some songs in 2/3 time signature right now, for some reason. 1950′s prom esque.
Examples include:
Oh Darling! – The Beatles
2nd part of The Bears Are Coming – Late of the Pier
Songs by the like of Pulp, Oasis, Blur, Foals, Modest Mouse, Architecture in Helsinki, Louis XIV, Okkervil River, The Teenagers, The Strokes, The Flaming Lips, The Womabats, Dntel, Daft Punk, Art Brut, Bauhaus, Neutral Milk Hotel, Beirut and the such would be great.
I just can’t think of any other’s like the two above.
Pulp – Common people
Oasis – Live Forever, Champagne Supernova, Slide Away, Supersonic, Cigarettes and Alcohol, Roll with it
The Wombats – Lets dance to Joy Division, Moving to New York
The Killers – All these things that i’ve done
Dirty Pretty Things – Bang Bang you’re dead
The White Stripes – You don’t know what love is
