Essential Willie Nelson

Essential Willie Nelson

$13.35

With 41 tracks drawn from nine record labels, the two-disc Essential Willie Nelson is impressive in its breadth. Disc one is simply superb; it begins with 1961′s “Night Life,” recorded for the obscure Bellaire label, and moves on to several of Nelson’s early 1960s Liberty recordings, an overlooked gem recorded for Monument in 1964 (“I Never Cared for You”), a cherry-picked selection of his RCA and…

The Bootleg Series, Vols. 1-3 : Rare And Unreleased, 1961-1991

Bob Dylan has always been incredibly prolific, only releasing a fraction of what he records. Such a policy has made him a prime target for bootleggers over the years, finally prompting this sanctioned 1991 triple-disc dive into the Dylan vaults. It consists of rare tracks, unreleased outtakes, early versions of classics (“Times They Are a-Changin’,” “Like a Rolling Stone,” “I Shall Be Released”), …

Rare Earth – The Collection

This compilation presents many of the finest soul-tinged tunes by the 1960s/`70s Motown pop/rock act Rare Earth, including "Magic Key," "Feelin` Alright," "Loves Shines Down," and "What`d I Say."While hardcore Rare Earth fans may be put off by the omission of the epic versions of "(I Know) I`m Losing You" and "Get Ready" — they appear here in their three- to four-minute single versions — Universal/Spectrum`s Collection offers the casual listener a far more diverse listening experience than Motown`s seven-track Millennium Collection. All of the radio hits ("I Just Want to Celebrate," "Born to Wander," "Hey Big Brother") are here (with the unfortunate exception of "Ma"), making this a bargain for both new and old listeners. ~ James Christopher Monger Copyright (C) Muze Inc. 2005.
