Anyone amatuer artists interested in getting artwork published? Illustrations or photography?
I have started a site that lets people around the world uplaod artwork to be included in a book on the meaning of life. Since the book is made up of people’s opinions on life, I thought artwork from people around the world would be nice as well. Don’t take this the wrong way because it is an interesting Idea, But you are missing some important things,
Who owns the work submitted?
can you use the work anyway you want without the artists permission?
Is the book going to be on sale if so will I as an artist get any money for my work?
How will you protect the copyright of my work?
I guess what I am trying to say is without a clear and concise contract that covers the rights of the artists I would seriously consider the merits of submitting work.
